Nefrys is not a veterinary drug, but a complementary food for dogs and cats. Property PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) is a natural substance present in many food sources of both animal and vegetable origin (eg soy). In the animal organism it helps to maintain the physiological balance of many organs and tissues (eg kidney). Nefrys replenishes the endogenous reserves of PEA in its highest absorption form (ultra-micronized, PEA-um). Silymarin is a complex of bioflavonoids extracted from Milk Thistle (Silybum Marianum) with an antioxidant action (neutralizes free radicals in the kidney). Chitosan and calcium carbonate help maintain a correct level of phosphorus and protein digestion products (eg nitrogenous waste) in the intestinal tract.
